毕沅 校注：“腑即腐字异文。冷、烂，音相近，当为烂。”
于省吾 《双剑誃诸子新证·墨子二》：“毕沅 谓腑即腐字异文，是也。又谓冷、烂音相近，当为烂，非是。按冷本应作泠，泠、零古字通……腐零，谓腐朽零落也。”
